Bistro & events lighting · OmahaString and bistro lighting for patios, pergolas, backyard weddings, graduations and business patios. We plan the layout and the power, hang it straight and tight, and take care of the ladders.
In short: Glow Getter designs and installs bistro and string lighting across the Omaha metro, for patios and pergolas that stay lit all season and for one-night events like backyard weddings and graduation parties. Every project starts with a free design of your space, then our insured crew installs it, and for events, takes it all down afterward.
Some lighting is part of how you live outside. Some is for one night you want people to remember. We design both the same way: around the space, the power and the view from where people sit.
Lighting that stays up and turns a patio, pergola or deck into the best room of the house from May to October.
Up before the day, down after it. A lit canopy over the tables, the dance floor or the driveway for backyard weddings, graduations, anniversaries and parties.
The design starts with what your space already has. Where a run needs another anchor, we plan it in so the strands sit level and high enough to walk under.
Clipped, never nailed, so nothing marks the house.
Zigzag, perimeter or a full canopy across the top.
Wrapped or used as anchor points for longer runs.
Low runs along railings and fence lines.
Added where open lawn needs a canopy overhead.
Tell us about the space and the date. We handle the plan, the power and the ladders.
Step one
Send a photo of the space. We sketch the runs, the anchor points and where the power comes from.
Step two
We confirm heights, bulb style and any posts, then lock the install date around your event.
Step three
Our insured crew hangs everything straight and tight, then turns it on with you.
Step four
Patio lighting stays lit. Event lighting comes down afterward, and you are not on a ladder.

It depends on how far the lights run and what they hang from. A single pergola is a smaller project than a full backyard canopy with posts. We price every project from a design of your space, and the design is free.
Not always. Lights can run from the house eave to a fence, a tree or a structure. Where there is nothing to anchor to, we plan posts into the design so the strands sit at the right height and tension.
Patio lighting we install to stay up is planned for wind, ice and snow load, with tensioned lines and weather-rated connections. For one-time events, we take everything down afterward.
We use clips and mounting hardware chosen for your surface instead of nails or staples, so the lights come down without marking the house.
The lights need a nearby outdoor outlet. We plan the power run as part of the design and can add a timer or dimmer so the lights come on without anyone flipping a switch.
As early as you have a date. Spring graduation and summer wedding weekends fill first. Booking early leaves time for a walkthrough and a design before the event.
Yes. For events we install before the day and come back afterward to take it all down, so you are not on a ladder the morning after.
Yes. Commercial patios get the same design-first process, scheduled around your business hours. See commercial lighting.
Send the space, the date and a photo if you have one. We'll sketch the lighting and text you back within one business hour, 8am to 8pm, seven days a week.
